Born on February 4, 1971, to the late Ronald Moore Goddard and Sandra Rogers Goddard, Jason achieved his bachelor’s degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College before embarking on a career in law enforcement that would span more than two decades.

In 2023, Jason took on the role of School Resource Officer with Daviess County Public Schools, where he quickly became known for his ability to connect with students and support their well‑being.
He worked across schools on the district’s west side, helping to foster a safe and welcoming environment for children and staff. Beyond his law enforcement duties, Jason was actively involved in youth sports, serving as an assistant coach for Daviess County High School boys’ soccer and as a referee for nearly two decades.
Goddard is survived by his wife of 26 years, Stacy Mills Goddard; sons Jackson and Keaton; sister Julee Goddard; brother Jeff Goddard; and extended family including in‑laws and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were scheduled for Monday, February 23, 2026, at Owensboro Christian Church with a burial to follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens, and visitations took place on Sunday and Monday prior to services.
Jason W. Goddard is remembered for his service, his smile, and his impact on countless lives. His legacy of caring for others — both as an officer and as a mentor — will live on in the community he served.
