Kayla Noel Day Obituary, Death:- The search for 84‑year‑old Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie, has entered its third week, and law enforcement officials in Tucson are continuing to pursue leads after formally clearing her family as possible suspects in her disappearance.
On February 16, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that Guthrie’s children and their spouses — including her daughter Annie Guthrie and son‑in‑law Tommaso Cioni — have been ruled out as suspects following extensive interviews and searches of personal devices and homes.
“To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel,” Nanos said, emphasizing the family’s full cooperation and describing them as victims in the case.
Authorities first raised questions about potential involvement from those close to Guthrie early in the investigation, but recent official statements make clear that detectives are focusing on other leads after eliminating family members from suspicion. The sheriff’s office says investigators have collected DNA evidence and conducted “blue‑light” processing of the Guthrie residence, but no arrests have been made.
Federal agents, including the FBI, are assisting with the case and have released surveillance footage showing a masked individual near Guthrie’s home around the time she vanished on January 31. They have also increased the reward for information to $100,000 as tips continue to pour in.
Despite the latest developments, law enforcement continues to ask for public help and urges anyone with relevant information to come forward as the mystery remains unresolved.
