The Baldwin County Chief Deputy Coroner, Steve Chapple, identified Knight as a Gray resident who lived with roommates in a two‑story home on the 300 block of West Montgomery Street.
According to Milledgeville Police Department officials, roommates made the discovery shortly before 1 p.m. when they arrived home and found Knight lying unresponsive in his bed.
They attempted to awaken him and immediately called 911 when he did not respond. Emergency dispatchers instructed them to perform CPR, but life‑saving measures were unsuccessful. Knight was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Milledgeville Police Department Major Brandon Sellers, commander of the Criminal Investigation Division, said early findings indicate that there did not appear to be signs of foul play.
